Our Whole House Purifier vs. Air Filtration Systems

Air Filters: The traditional way to treat indoor air pollution was with an Air Filter. Regardless of what manufacturers claim, Glass Fiber, HEPA or Activated Carbon Filters don't work. The reason -- filtration systems are very limited and must rely on air passing through to have an effect. Only 30% of the air in your room may pass through the filter. Much of the air remains unaffected and polluted The microscopic particles bypass our nasal passages sinking deep into our lungs and bloodstream! Also, air filters cannot treat pollutants trapped in furniture, carpet, drapes, clothes, or other fabrics and cannot effectively eliminate odors. Most filtration systems cannot treat particles less than 3 microns in size. Consequently , smaller dust particles including dust mites (the number one cause of allergies) , gases, odors, bacteria, virus, animal dander and tobacco smoke pass through the filters untreated. All filtration systems must have a certain level of permeability to allow air to pass through them. The filter must have "holes" in it. The smaller the holes, the more often the filters get clogged, reducing the efficiency and air flow thus, causing the filters to be replaced frequently.

The ozone levels produced by the purifiers are less than levels outdoors.
